The Developer Ecosystem Report is JetBrains' annual survey of the global developer community — based on responses from 24,534 developers across 194 countries. We were brought in to implement the report, working from designs by Figures & Figures. The final handoff was a finished multilingual static site to be deployed by JetBrains.

A tight coupling between design and code

Our work covered the full implementation of the report — translating Figures & Figures' designs into a production-ready site. Alongside the build, we contributed the motion layer: scroll-triggered animations, page transitions, parallax, and floating 3D icons that give the report its sense of depth and energy.

Richard and Cristina came in, understood the constraints quickly, had real opinions about the right technical approach, and were quick to implement or evolve the plan as new needs arose.

By enabling a continuous exchange between design and code, we were able to iterate over the designs with Figures & Figures during the implementation process, which allowed us to contribute designs for some of the charts, such as the waffle chart used throughout the report.

Adapted for a global audience

We worked with JetBrains and Figures & Figures to adapt all the designs and code to fully support all 9 languages that JetBrains publishes in. This includes all the text, datasets, and charts of the report.

The Developer Ecosystem Report by JetBrains was released in late 2025.
