HERE Technologies at CES 2026 — Interactive media installation

HERE Technologies

HERE Technologies is one of the world's leading location data and technology platforms. Since 2023, we've been building and maintaining a suite of interactive applications for their presence at CES — the world's largest consumer electronics show — and a growing number of events globally.

For the latest CES in January 2026, we developed three interactive touch-screen installations for the HERE booth.

Three installations, one booth

Deep-dive app — an immersive, chapter-based experience showcasing HERE customers through deep-dive narratives. Each chapter combines large imagery, video, and interactive touchpoints that reveal additional detail. Animated transitions between chapters and an idle mode keep the experience feeling alive between interactions.

Customer and partner stories app — a self-guided interactive application that lets visitors explore HERE case studies with short video clips and minimal copy.

Ecosystem app — an interactive display featuring a selection of customer profiles, giving visitors a quick, visual overview of key HERE partners.

We developed the applications in line with the HERE Design System. Our focus was a performant and adaptable implementation of these designs and bringing these experiences to life with engaging motion design.

Built for the realities of a trade show

Big shows like CES present a real technical constraint: internet access on the show floor is unreliable. We built a system using web technologies that lets the teams on the ground update content directly and run the self-contained apps locally — all of this without relying on an internet connection during the event.

Having this setup also means that we can respond quickly in the event of last-minute fixes or adjustments. It is possible to ship new versions of the app throughout the event and redeploy them locally on the show floor.

Richard and Cristina have given our interactive experiences at events a huge lift — always with an eye on flexibility and reusability.

A tool that travels

What started as a CES project has grown into something more. The HERE team adapts the same applications for events around the world, including Auto China, IAA, Transport & Logistics Innovation Week in Paris, and several HERE Tech Days. We provide ongoing support as the content evolves and new events are added.

The apps all scale to accommodate content for different events and in different languages, including German and Mandarin Chinese.
